The silver lining
It should come as no surprise that the past few months have been tough on Kaizen’s Managing Director, Robin Winnett. But in spite of the difficulties created by the current climate, Robin is determined that his Newbury-based software development company will continue to deliver an outstanding service to its customers.
Like many businesses, we’ve experienced a downturn in the amount of work from our existing clients. But astonishingly, we’ve seen an increase in lead enquiries, receiving more in the first half of 2009 than the previous two years together!
Why are more people interested in Kaizen?
Robin believes that the recent rise in enquiries is linked to four significant developments across the business:
- Investing in SEO – more people are finding Kaizen because thanks to our partner Inspiration Inc, a fantastic SEO campaign has launched our website out into the cyber hemisphere, taking us to a much wider audience than ever before.
- Investing in systems – more small businesses want to work with us because they are increasingly aware that by investing in their systems they can significantly reduce their staff overheads.
- Investing in consistency – more businesses are choosing Kaizen because they know that by delivering a consistent service, they can stop losing their customers to their competitors.
- Investing in networking – more people seem to prefer to work with us because we started talking to them over two years ago, which just goes to show that the time and effort dedicated to being in the right places at the right time really does pay off!
What else is new?
June 2009 is the Month of Radical Reform for Kaizen. That’s because we’re about to completely transform the systems world with the software that will fundamentally change the way small businesses operate. With the delivery of the long-awaited Flo, we can help teams become more efficient and more effective in their role. In fact, we’re so pleased with our new product that right now, we’re in the process of implementing Flo across our own company.
Final thought
If you’re familiar with the way we work, then you probably already know that Robin is a great believer in the value of self development and improvement. Recently, he’s been talking to Neil Crofts, who built his own business, Authenticis, on the simple premise that by engaging staff in their own development, they become passionate about what they do.
